Can This Even Be Called Music?
The nearly forty minutes of pain are more than reason enough to listen to the album in isolation, on repeat. The band has a unique sense of melody and harmony that’s dissonant and highly evocative, and doesn’t fall into the clichés of the genre.
Some super good Doom Metal. During the course of the album, Mudbath seems to almost casually flirt with multiple genres and sounds and manages to come up with with a very cool hybrid of fuzzy and warm Doom. Very well done.

Hearing Brine Pool is the sonic equivalent of trudging waist-deep through tepid, murky, filth. It's in the buzzy distortion, it's in the dreary pace of the drums, it's in your goddam shoes. Gnarly. All said and done, Brine Pool is a dismal experience mostly in the best of ways. metaltrenches.com/reviews/brine-pool-920Favorite track: End Up Cold.
